The ‘Star of Hope’ foundation supports children and young people who are in disadvantaged positions or at risk. Our main mission is to provide these individuals with opportunities to develop and realize their full potential, enabling them to achieve their desired integration and success in society.
The ‘House of Hope’ project is both a social and physical space where we accommodate young people without families or social and material resources, as well as those in social isolation. Through various forms of training and personal development, we help them achieve a high level of self-improvement and provide a springboard for successful integration and realization.
As we know, a society’s success is measured by the well-being and achievement of its most vulnerable members. That is why ‘Star of Hope’ dedicates significant effort to creating opportunities for the successful realization of these young people, who are often targeted by marginalized and even criminal groups. By improving their personal potential, we aim to boost their self-esteem, providing them with the chance to prove themselves in society. This is one of the best ways to protect them from the dangers of trafficking and abusive treatment.
The ‘Star of Hope’ foundation works with children and young people under the age of 25 and has provided supported housing for youth over the past 19 years. During this time, hundreds of individuals have been accommodated, some of whom have graduated from higher education and gone on to realize their intellectual and professional potential. Others have started families and integrated successfully into society.
Here are some of the key steps we emphasize for young people in our program:
1. One-month psychological adaptation program.
2. Professional consultations to identify talents, skills, and career aspirations.
3. Participation in training courses to acquire a profession.
4. Ongoing courses, therapy, and mutual support to strengthen personal self-esteem, confidence, and social integration—especially important for those who grow up in risk and rejection.
As mentioned earlier, our work focuses primarily on children and young people growing up in environments that threaten their lives, health, and intellectual and psychological development as individuals.
We hope that, through our program, the children and young people in the aforementioned target groups will acquire personal, professional, and social development. Beyond individual transformation, we believe this will bring positive changes to society—promoting tolerance, social acceptance, and reducing levels of social antagonism and aggression.
This will, of course, require a long-term commitment and accumulation of resources, but it is essential to set clear goals for such programs.
The approximate budget for activities over one project year is 8,500.
